This space is great for a quiet weekend away from the city, from which you can explore Carmel Valley Village wine-tasting (8 miles), Monterey (24 miles) and Big Sur (45 miles), or a peaceful artist retreat. ———— There is a mini-fridge, stove top, microwave & hot shower and Smart TV with full reclining movie theatre chairs. We provide Silverware, dishes, pots/pans, keurig coffee pods, salt, pepper, sugar & olive oil are provided as well. *Tv does not have cable or satellite but you may stream any streaming service you are subscribed to. Enjoy the morning view with a fresh cup of coffee, toast the evening with a glass of wine and stargaze as you wind down in the HOT TUB. This space is great for a quiet weekend away from the city. With no light pollution, the stars are bright and you can easily get carried away enjoying the simple yet most beautiful things life has to offer—Mother Earth and good company. You can explore Carmel Valley, Monterey and Big Sur, or simply enjoy the peacefulness of the property and surrounding atmosphere itself. Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

The drive to Refuge by the River was 5.5 miles up a steep, narrow road with many curves. It took about 30 minutes from Carmel Valley Village. The trailer was clean and well supplied and had nice views of the hills. Our stay was limited to one night since the distance and road was not favorable for the entire weekend stay.

Mice everywhere inside. Spiders in webs in the corners. The coffee pot still had dirty grounds in it. The hot tub was filthy. My husband said he felt like a toad in a stew pot. Caution.

The property is very cozy for a quick getaway. Amazing hot tub and a very comfortable sleeping arrangement. Although, the place is located quite far from most activities or attractions and the road up can seem daunting. We did have a problem with a propane leak which they fixed.
