Summary: Beautiful newly renovated space in Mid City. This classic New Orleans shotgun style home features 2 bedrooms (one king bed, one queen bed, both featuring Comphy brand spa quality sheets), full bathroom, open kitchen and living room design. This house is a great escape from the city while being centrally located. Have a cocktail in the private courtyard and relax. The house is located steps from the Lafitte greenway bike path, Whole Foods and the Canal street car is 2 blocks away and neighborhood is filled with local restaurants, character and NOLA charm. Guest Access: You will have fun and private access to the whole 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment, and the rear courtyard. The building is a double (duplex) and shares a center dividing wall with the long term tenant next door. The Neighborhood: We love living in Mid-City! Vibrant, full of character and lots of local restaurants. It is very walkable, only a 7-10 minute drive or Uber ride to the French Quarter and other tourist attractions. The house is right next to a bike path that will take you either to City Park or the French quarter, Whole Foods is just a few blocks away. Mid-City has it all, local flavor, while still being centrally located! Getting Around: This home is only a 7-10 minute drive or Uber ride to the French Quarter and other tourist attractions. The house is right next to a bike path that will take you either to City Park or the French quarter. City 'blue bike' rental stations are close by. Other Things to Note: Per New Orleans City requirements, this contains a decibel monitoring device. The device is located in a common area and not in any bedroom or bathroom. The building is a double (duplex) and shares a center dividing wall with the long-term tenant next door. We love hosting and want to make sure it's a good fit. Please note, we do not host locals without prior approval. If you are from New Orleans or the surrounding areas you must contact us before booking. 4-person maximum occupancy; no gatherings or parties. Quiet hours after 10PM. We had a wonderful stay and were extremely comfortable in the space--my husband, sister, and myself. The neighborhood is extremely quiet, though deserted after dark. We found an excellent bagel shop nearby--Flour Moon--and found the Whole Foods to be very convenient for our few kitchen needs. We were surprised to discover there are two free range roosters on the block, who we named Ted and Antonio. It was a shock the first morning, but not a major issue. We would absolutely stay here again.

It was very expensive for what you got. Been to other VRBO’s in Florida of this size or bigger for less money. Place was clean. Kitchen sink area smelled of mold and mildew. Toilet paper was one-ply but felt like half-ply. One bedroom had no television even though owner/manager said that it had TV’s in all bedrooms. Parking was horrible. Someone that stayed next door parked on street in the middle of the duplex which didn’t allow much room to park near property. Car took up space in front of and behind so that no one could park there. Neighborhood seemed a little sketchy. Over all stay was okay.
