About this stay
This beautiful five-bedroom, two-bathroom, turn-of-the-century house is located on Great Diamond Island, in Casco Bay. A 20-minute ferry ride from downtown Portland, Maine, the island is quiet and peaceful, with scenic views, family cottages, and bay beaches. The house has a wonderful wrap-around porch that looks out on a huge, sloping lawn, and it is just a short, two-minute walk to the beach. Enjoy bike riding, swimming, fishing, playing tennis at the nearby court, or just lazing on the porch. Or take the ferry into Portland for dinner and drinks at some of the city's amazing restaurants, bars, and breweries. The house comes with a golf cart, grill, and outdoor shower. Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

We had a wonderful weeklong vacation on great diamond Island in September 2024 at this cottage. Everything was as described and the property owners were very thoughtful with what was available at the house. We would definitely recommend this property to any family and will be back for sure!

My daughter, son-in-law and their two children joined me for about two weeks in this absolutely lovely Maine cottage on Great Diamond island. Interior was wood with an old-fashioned look. But appliances were all new. Short walk to the beach. Five bedrooms including one on the first floor next to a second bathroom. We enjoyed a few meals at the nearby Diamond Cove inn. Hosts were responsive both by text and via vrbo site. Can't wait to return.

We had a wonderful week on Great Diamond Island. The house was perfect for our two families, spending time sitting on the porch, exploring the island, swinging on the tree swing and napping in the hammock. The host left us with everything we needed and was quick to respond to any questions we had about our trip.We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!
