Pioneer Meadow: The cabins at Pioneer Meadow are antique log cabins made of poplar, oak, and chestnut logs purchased throughout the south and restored to their original beauty. The logs were numbered, transported to our property and reassembled. History: The Lawson (named for it's founding family) was found in Blackwater, Virginia. It was originally built on a hilltop overlooking a huge valley, circa 1790. It is made from poplar logs and restored as close as possible to the original. Location: 5 miles from Pigeon Forge, Tn off Wears Valley Road. Off the beaten path, this gravel road will take you up the mountain (don't worry, the steepest part is paved) to a beautiful meadow. Convenient to the tourist attractions of pigeon forge and gatlinburg, a short drive to smoky mountain national park but secluded enough that you can here a car driving in from a mile away.
